i like the idea of children's hearts as stone, divine and earthly. the resilience that comes with being so small and yet understanding the world as it is. i hope, because we cannot continue otherwise, there are brighter days ahead.
i found a letter on twitter from a girl who lost her mother to this tragedy, and ended up crying for a loss that wasn't even mine. things like this belong to nightmares, not here, in our day-to-day lives. i wholeheartedly share your thoughts and the admiration for all educators
i saw that too -- absolutely broke my heart. i feel like we are all carrying a mutual grief that has become too heavy for many of us, and even that must be less than those who are direct victims. we can only hope for better things
you‘ve done a beautiful job in capturing the tragedy of this entire situation. it‘s so heartbreaking, really. your newsletter and philosophy is of great comfort to me🧡 here‘s to a safer future and more mercy for our children
