you are amazing, tara. this made me feel so comforted, it’s not often i’ve gotten to read about how hard it is to feel safe in female friendships (especially as BIPOC). you inspire me everyday and are a big reason as to why i got the courage to start my own,, thank you friend🫂 <3, vi

hi tara :3 we share the same birthday (29 mar!) and earlier i was talking to my best friend for nearly an hour over text after she wished me at midnight. and now, i'm here reading your newsletter on friendships, heart full at how you conveyed the easy, complete joy of it <3 (i've been meaning to say this for a while now but) thank you so much for your newsletters, i look forward to them so much every week - am always excited for what you have to say & feel & show up for next. your reflections help me look at the world more solidly, gauzed in a kind, loving gaze. its such a needed reminder. so thank you for that & for being preciously you. and of course, happy birthday tara! the world is yours to love x wishing you endless joy ahead & the most delicious food & restful sleep!

Completely forgot I can comment on these on here instead of texting u oops <3 but this is def one of my favourite devotions so far. love the two of you and reading this made me reflect a lot on my own friendships and how we’ve found more than just the possibility of friendship in them. your revisiting of Sanna Wani feels so perfect right now in many ways. Always so insightful, I love you ❤️

tara, this was so wonderful and wholesome. funnily enough, it wasnt until 2021, a year into a pandemic, where i felt the most lonely, that i really questioned the feelings and value of the friendships in my life. since then i've learned about what it really means to have these companionships in my life. what it feels like to have trust to hold each other and take care of each other. its truly something so special in life. thank you tara, have a great week <3
