this letter reminded me a lot of paramore's 26, especially the bridge when Hailey sings "reality will break your heart, survival will not be the hardest part". here's to broken hearts, and the free space they give for us to love more!
Ugh Tara I am once again, sobbing lol. This is so beautifully written. The part where you write about making tea for your parents hit so close to home. After a long period of isolation it feels heart warming to feel home. You're navigating this transition with such grace and open arms. I've still many years to experience life, but in the 28 that I have been around, I'd say youre doing it quite well ❤️
English's not my first language, and I decided to expand my vocabulary with the help of your newsletter - been following you for the past year on twitter, and your words have something special that always warms my heart. I've never considered the heart breaking as a possibility to add something (in my mind it was always "they're taking something away from you") and maybe it's time to start doing so. Thank you for your words ⭐️
